Introduction
“Motherland – is a sacred Secret of every man same as his birthday” – a Russian philosopher Sergei Bulgakov used to say. Indeed our life is closely related to the history of our native land. And when we start learning the history of our land we unintentionally start asking a question: How did people live here? And we start looking for something that we can be proud of today by studying old pictures and texts of people's recollections”.
Virtual excursion is conducted by Vyacheslav Konstantinovich Afanasev. Vyacheslav Konstantinovich was born in 1940 in Gurev. He studied at school No15 and graduated from the Uralsk Pedagogical Institute. In 1958 he participated in the construction of a Chemical plant by the assignment of the Young Communist League. After that he was a senior pioneer leader and was involved in tourism while studying in school No15. He has been in charge of the tourist club for 10 years on behalf of the trade union. In 1991 he has created a historic and patriotic club “Miras”.
This year celebrates the 30s anniversary of the club activity of Vyacheslav Konstantinovich and 55 years of his tourist activity!!!
The first interest for regional study was set by his grandfather – Grogoriy Tambovtsev who lived in Saraichik being a native and sacred place for Vyacheslav Konstantinovich. Findings discovered by his grandfather are now kept in the museum of regional and historic studies of Atyrau.
Favourite place in city: the city park, the stanitsa (meeting) square
Dream: get to know the archaeology of Prorva camp.
